Anybody have the imperial action transport from rogue squadron iii I know iv been asking many times but somebodys got to have it i tried, but nope. the iso is full of custom data formats. no way to get the model this way. i tried ninja ripping but the game runs like shit on dolphin you can't even get to the mission start, even with the all missions unlocked passcodes.

try any dolphin version that runs it without constantly crashing the game. ninja ripper has plugins for dx9 and dx11 renderers. the passcodes to unlock the missions can be found on cheat websites. that's all you can do.
edit: and yeh you can get the rom on some archival websites. upto you how you deal with that.

well... damn. i was just rechecking i link the working iso. 4 hours later. 5 in the morning. fuck dm too complicated? omg. you gotta be me? sry i know how to deal with this shit. and i never really give up. that was an ordeal tho. needs an old ripper. doesn't rip textures. launch it. save with mission passcode. carefully mash thru menus. gotta deal with the damn game crashes. shader clearing. repeat til in the cutscene. timely correct texture dump in the emulator option. and a 20 second ripperoni in the final attempt. i dumped 3 or 4 frames. data is all raw and disconnected. i cleaned up the dump in blender. all the parts are there it seems. but i'm tired af now. you can puzzle the thing yourself. www.mediafire.com/file/l0p6yahjm2rabai/rebelstrike_iat.rarThanks for the IAT. Ripping is tricky as the camera FOV plays a part in the Blender import. No model is 100% perfect but most of them are extremely close. Had to replace a couple of parts and incomplete meshes here and there. View AttachmentCould you share this or is it not finish(the hovertrain is in there although its missing the turret car.) also do you got the Imperial Siege balloon from bespin. Attachments:

(one shared by dlight sucks) well... thank you too. i tried all i could do. this is how the things comes out with this hacky methods. you lazy fuck gotta do some shit yourself sometimes. get reference material, do some modelling, and puzzle the thing together. it's just the landing gear and some engine shit you gotta fix. all you do is ask for us todo do the complicated stuff for you to reap the perfect results. that sucks, to be brutally honest. i'm chill... all good. had to be thrown in here tho.

I appreciate that you put the time and effort to rip this thing though have you ever ripped something from a game? this is abolutely normal. if you woulda done it yourself you woulda gotten the same result. it's a dump of geometry. there were a bunch of ships on screen. i already removed the background and the lambda shuttles. the rest is just how it works. you go thru that dump, sort it out. check which meshes are the highest lod level and continue assembly from there. ez. you can do it. there are people out there that reconstructed entire maps for games, using ripped data like this. also... the materials i put in there was just to check if i got all the textures. this is not final. you could improve that yourself too. come on. tbf the game doesn't use much more then diffuse maps for the cutscene i ripped. i doubt ingame is alot better. i dumped the model in the actual map too. did not do a texture dump for it tho. so... yeh... i dunno what's your problem. i suggest you spend some time in blender and learn howto do this shit yourself and quickly. it's not rocket science.

well... RS I is for pc and n64. i don't have access to the pc version ( cough i'm not paying 9 bucks for this old stuff i don't need, really). the n64 version can't be ripped. i tried it. with the compatible renderer it rips only loose screenspace triangles. for RS II and III you could just use the latest version of dolphin. the compatibility for both games is not perfect. the crashes are known but have no solution. deal with it. you will restart and repeat the mission loading alot. figure out a slow way to get thru the menus without it crashing too often. for ripping you may have to use an old version of ninja ripper. i couldn't get it to work with 1.6.4 nor 1.7.1 (versions i have lying around). i used 1.6.0 i still have too. this is on windows 10 21H2, btw. if you have a different windows version it could work with a different ripper. specualtion. i can't provide an official or trusty link for 1.6.0, but offer my own backup. dolphin is an x64 program, so you gotta use the x64 ripper. ripping works for me with the "intruder inject" method. it rips only geometry tho. required rip interval ranges from 5-10 seconds to safe the stuff. to dump the textures you gotta temporarily enable this switch in the dolphin options when the scenes or maps load and before you start ripping. you should disable the mipmap dump. i advice to only run this dump while you are in a cutscene or ingame and only when you rip. it dumps all sorts of stuff and video frames from the menu too. this is lots of clutter in the dump folder. the dumped textures can be found in the dolphin user folder (C:\Users\[your_name]\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Dump\Textures). the rip files ofc wherever you want them to end up. hope this helps. this is all the technical info you require. xtra note: i dunno if the patreon ninja version works better. upto you if you wanna support the dude and try it out. i don't want to need it. i'm not ripping bigtime anymore. it looks neat how it rips the whole scene tho. unsure if this works with every program.

It mostly depends on your PC, how you set up your plugins inside the emulator, and the game you're trying to rip from. All that being said I think the latest version of Dolphin should be the best. I couldn't tell you why your setup is constantly crashing. When ripping models from Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike they typically will not come out fully intact if they use bones or animations. dlight's rip of the Imperial Action Transport is a good example of what happens with the models. There's no easy fix for this because it's due to how Ninja Ripper and the game itself interact. The models have to be manually fixed. Ah well, yes and no. It's a little complicated but basically most of the textures from Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike have alpha channels which are used for bump/height mapping or alpha channels for illumination/emissive lighting. There are also separate textures used strictly for Tangent Space normal maps. On top of all that the game uses vertex shaders to further color the textures. For example the MC80 Home One and MC80 Liberty both use a hull Diffuse texture called "tex1_1024x1024_m_85e64755d6d0eb93_14" with the illumination coming from the alpha channel. The game uses shaders to re-color the main hull texture to give it the distinct hues for each model, grey for the MC80 Home One model and Orange for the MC80 Liberty. The bump/height map comes from a separate texture called "tex1_1024x1024_m_530cb239f9b5d4cb_0" and "tex1_1024x1024_m_4d35387cee5dfdc9_0". The Normal map texture is called "tex1_1024x1024_m_6ccb74f41eecc057_14", I re-baked this one to create the Tangent Space Normal map.
