that's a nice example @rancor022. that's how i woulda done that too. it needs a "mask" for the "frame" of the field and gotta do the lines and noise procedurally

I did this force field in Daz, it's just a unwrapped plane with a light fog texture that's somewhat transparent and a blue emission.

The over-the-shoulder view of the X-Wing reminds me of the scene from Rogue One with the X-Wing exiting hyperspace and entering the space battle above Scarif, (perhaps that was intentional), well done!

that base is from squadrons, btw, right? i wish it was playable. can't deal with the controls rn. it's not how i fly on controller, usually.

More Blender practice. Added the Open Circle fleet insignia to the SWBF2 Venator using a simple planar mesh hovering over the hull, same approach as is used with the red stripes.

Awesome work! Did you make those UI textures yourself, or did you find them somewhere? The majority of the UI graphics in the render are SVG that are extractable from the game. The target is from a separate toon shader render of the X-wing in the scene.

yo BadHorse you happen to know where to find or have some of the (old) tools that manage(d) to extract entire blueprints? i'd not mind to setup a render of this model too. frosty is not alot of help tho. i'd rather not spend time to crawl thru those folders and puzzle it by hand. it's not xtracting the textures anymore either.
