Interesting. In that past I have tried importing with Blender, then exporting and opening the file in C4D, same issue though. Hmm... How well does C4d handle Shape Keys? They are a bit of a mess in Blender...Of course I assume you are just using the High Poly meshes and not with the low Lods... I'm not really familiar with them as I don't use Blender, however I have noticed this same issue arising when over-adjusting the skeleton of character models. For example if I rotate the neck of a character, say, about 5 degrees, it appears fine. However if I rotate it ~45 degrees I get the same black streak. This wasn't always the case, I just started noticing it maybe 1-2 years ago. Yes I am using the high poly mesh, although the LOD meshes are also affected.

The black smear across the mesh. It is also present in the render, I've never come across this issue on any other mesh before. xcuse me. i didn't see the obvious problem. this looks like broken normals, indeed. if you get this error when you transform the mesh, i'd guess it does not have any normals at all and this is the result of the viewport rendering of your modelling program, rendering it without normals. tbf a droid hemisphere is easy to recalculate normals without messing it up. if you use blender, that is. dunno how other tools would manage this.

Reason I ask is they are assigned in the FBX, and they may be affecting the mesh as you said by rotating the mesh to produce the black smear...I would open up and delete the shape keys ( they are not really needed and as far as Blender they are Hosed anyway), animating R2 can be done by keyframes...then re-import to C4d and see if it helps... I checked the normals and they appear just fine...

In an older thread somebody posted a bunch of objects from a Kessel map, but the link there is dead. Anyone got a new one? it was called kessel+objects.rar If I remember right... that was for a Hanger asset they were creating... I have One Kessel Objects directory but only the Tower and bridges are included, there is also an antenna and 2 small machines though they are called Large? and as far as I know that was never finished. People kept asking but the person never responded back. If you want it I can .rar it up for you and post a link...

I know I've seen at least a few of them in Objects > Props, unfortunately I'm not sure what most of them are called so I'm not positive what to search for.

The imperial and the Rebel version. i looked through the threads and file but there only the Raider files from squadron .I even looked through the old achrived threads of the Facepunch forum but sadly even there no luck. i hope someone could be so Kind and help me with my search.

The Corvus Raider models I extracted from SWBF2 were never all that good. There were no turrets assembled (not that I remember anyway), and all of the textures were procedural, so it was nearly impossible to figure out how to rebuild the shaders. The Squadrons Raider mesh is identical to the SWBF2 imperial Corvus, but the textures are UV mapped and easier to work with.
