You need to let people upload modded content if the modder puts it under a Creative Commons (or similarly free) license. Whether or not that was the case here, I think you should change that rule.

The rule is due to content creators asking us personally not to post their content here on the forums. They have actively done the same on other forums as well. I can’t speak to their motives but I can understand their concerns. We don’t have a 100% working method to extract all the content from the mod files right now anyway. The Nexusmods mod format is designed to keep people from ripping mod creators’ content and releasing it under their own names without proper credit or acknowledgement being given to original authors. This is all subjective and can easily end up sidetracking the thread. You are free to discuss things in private with whomever you wish. No one is upset by you asking questions. I think a link to mod content is ok but the issue arises when you need help extracting said content.

Links to modded content that a content creator allows to be posted is fine, or if they openly post their assets (such as source files on Nexus Mods). Same goes for content on sites like Turbosquid, etc. I'm not sure if you recall, a few months ago we had a huge influx of modders coming in and asking to have their content taken down. If an individual modder is fine with it however, then that's different. What is discussed/exchanged via PM's though is none of my business. Besides, there's only one person I'm aware of that was able to successfully extract modded content, and I don't think he's on here anymore.

Hi Guys! It looks like the Lars Homestead pit was in the game when this was first released in 2017, but it was removed with the followings updates. I've done a deep search but there's no trace of it. Has anybody managed to extract it before it was removed? Could anybody be so kind to help me with this, please? I need it for my Star Wars fan film. Thank you very much in advance!

I remember at some point somebody had extracted the Kessel payload cart with the big canisters. Would anybody happen to have that file anywhere? It sort of looks like this image I've attached...

EDIT: It is indeed from the "Rebel Depot" map from BF2015.

Hello there ...
I have a question about extracting the Hoth Hangar from BF1 / BF2. Have someone tried it? Is it possible to use the blueprint method or do I have to puzzle it together?
Any information about this would be great.
thank you!

Any information about this would be great. thank you! I just took a look at the BF2 Hoth Hanger...and a great deal of the assets are put together by Blueprints...and as an example on the ridgid mesh objects there are at least 20 cable systems...and objects scattered through out the various folders... Even using the Blueprints it will be a monumental task!

Is anybody able to extract the entire map of Kashyyyk from battlefield 1? I want to make something in unity, so exporting them as .fbx files would be nice.

I don't think that will happen anytime soon. The maps are made up of hundreds or even thousands of models and have to be assembled from all the various pieces to make a complete environment, that's assuming of course you can figure out where all the various bits even go!

Damn, that sucks. I was hoping to make a mandalorian outpost for a VRChat world. Any alternatives?
