arajedimaster1138 Had another attempt with the DI3.0 over the weekend.. It seems not all audio is within the .wem/.wav files as there is simply not enough of these archives to contain the games entire audio.. my assumption is the other audio is somewhat dynamically linked .bkh files (extracted from.bnk/.dbnk), though renaming these to .wem/ogg conversion does not work. Not to mention all sounds that can be converted to .ogg are not categorised into folders and are numbered randomly (for eg: Mickey Mouse dialogue is numbered after Iron Man dialogue).. So unless someone is prepared to sort through every .wem file (1400+), you could say I've hit a dead end on this one 😒... @warhammer_81 This user seem to have gained access to the files from Disney Infinity, though he appears to be having trouble sorting the sounds out. I’m sure he would appreciate your help in this matter, if you can spare time. I don't have the game or the files to test this out personally. Using QuickBMS with Aluigi's BKHD sound bank extraction script should extract the files from the .BKH archives: aluigi.altervista.org/bms/armyoftwo.bms

Hey everyone, has anyone been able to rip/locate the full set of VOs from Jedi Starfighter? I've managed to get my hands on the SFX and some VO for a few characters but have been looking forever for Captain Orsai or any of the Mere Cruiser captains. All the streaming audio for the XBOX version of Star Wars Jedi Starfighter is in .WAV format. The dialogue audio just needs to be converted from the XBOX ADPCM format to standard .WAV. Neat! Do you perhaps know if the full files exist anywhere? I may have missed them here.

Do you perhaps know if the full files exist anywhere? I may have missed them here. To my knowledge they have never been released anywhere, likely because most of them are compressed and won't play on most devices. I'm in the process of converting all the compressed streaming audio to standard uncompressed .WAV files, there are 7,631 lines of dialogue alone! It's about a 2.0 GB file and only contains the "streaming" audio, not the SFX. The files are sorted into folders according to how the game labeled them. Most of the dialogue related to each specific character has a suffix indicating which character the audio belongs to. For instance inside the "Mission 04 Voice Lines" folder all of Orsai's dialogue contains the suffix "_ORS" while Sol Sixxa's uses "_SOL" and Ruuk's is "_RUUK" etc. It shouldn't be very difficult to figure out except for the more obscure generic voices like "_NPL3" or "_TPLT1". But I am eagerly looking forward to the results of your labor The nostalgia is massive.

zespo, I added the download link for the audio. MediaFire was giving me grief trying to upload it but it should be good to go now.

Hello there! I am trying to extract all the sound effects from the Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels game for the Wii and am having trouble. I think it's similar to the Republic Heroes game where everything's in .RKV. I used QuickBMS with an RKV2 script to extract abunch of files but now all the files are .GSB and .VPB mainly (along with .ARC, .MUS, .BPK, and .PKG)
I've searched everywhere and tried all suggested programs with no luck. Does anyone know how to convert or extract these? I am new at this and would love some help, thanks.

Maybe someone might be able to get a hands-on analysis of those files, see how they can be decoded and translated to .wav format.

arajedimaster1138 Thanks, I didn't think of that. Here's the link for the extracted TCW Lightsaber Duels for Wii files. I'm stumped here. This is all the different files types (see attachment) and I'm not sure which are what or how to convert them. Attachments:

The only files I've extracted are the .GSB files and inside them are .DSP files which require a GameCube/Wii DSPADPCM fork of Audacity to be read/converted.

Warhammer_81 Woah thanks for checking it out. Is this something that I can do or is it too hard or near impossible? I'm not familiar with a fork of Audacity or know where to start.

Warhammer_81 , While you tackle the problem of trying to get access to the .GSB script, here is a link to another script format that I’ve been most interested in: aluigi.altervista.org/bms/force_unleashed_2.bms It’s for “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II,” but maybe this will help me get access to the sound files from the game, as well as some of its DLCs, especially in a format that will be properly labelled and named.

Warhammer_81 Is it possible to upload the script here? It says I don't have access to view the attachments from that forum post/ I realize since the XeNTaX forums are gone you can't log into the forums and download files. You will have to recreate the original .BMS script by copying the following code into a .TXT file, saving it, and renaming the file extension to .BMS: # ================================================================================ # GameCube .GSB extract # QuickBMS script by Dave, 2020 # ================================================================================
Endian Big
IDString "SB01"
Get ENTRIES Long Math ENTRY = 0x20
XMath DATA_START "(ENTRIES * 96) + 32"
Get FNAME basename
For A = 1 To ENTRIES Goto ENTRY GetDString FILENAME 0x20
String FILENAME P "%FNAME%\%FILENAME%.dsp"
Get OFFSET Long Math OFFSET + DATA_START Get SAMP_COUNT Long Get SIZE Long Get SAMP_RATE Short Get JUNK Long SavePos COEFF_DATA
Log MEMORY_FILE 0 0 PutVarChr MEMORY_FILE 0x5f 0
XMath NIB_COUNT "SIZE * 2" PutVarChr MEMORY_FILE 0 SAMP_COUNT Long PutVarChr MEMORY_FILE 4 NIB_COUNT Long PutVarChr MEMORY_FILE 8 SAMP_RATE Long
Goto COEFF_DATA Math COEFF_HEADER = 0x1c
For B = 1 To 16 Get COEFF1 UShort PutVarChr MEMORY_FILE COEFF_HEADER COEFF1 Short Math COEFF_HEADER + 2 Next B
Append Log MEMORY_FILE OFFSET SIZE Append
XMath TOTAL_SIZE "SIZE + 96"
Log FILENAME 0 TOTAL_SIZE -1
Math ENTRY + 0x60
Next A
Running QuickBMS and selecting the script will allow you to extract the .GSB files and get the .DSP files inside them.

You can already get the sounds from the game without that script. TFU II XBOX360 DLC content has already been extracted for a few years, getting the audio properly labeled and sorted is an entirely different problem, one that won't be easily solved. The QuickBMS script to extract TFU II XBOX360 DLC .WAD files is this: # X360 Star Wars The Force Unleashed II DLC .WAD files # script for QuickBMS http://aluigi.org/papers.htm#quickbms
endian big idstring "LWAD" get SKIP long get FILES long get SKIP long for i = 0 < FILES get HASH long //? print "%HASH|h% :hash" get SIZE long get SKIP long get OFFSET long get SKIP long get LWAD long savepos TMP goto OFFSET get MAGIC long print "%MAGIC|h% :magic" math NAME = HASH if MAGIC == 0x9f020000 //gto string NAME + ".gto" elif MAGIC == 0x52494658 //RIFX string NAME + ".wem" elif MAGIC == 0x424B4844 //BKHD string NAME + ".bkhd" elif MAGIC == 0x32443252 //2D2R string NAME + ".animations" elif MAGIC == 0x4150616b //APak string NAME + ".apak" elif MAGIC == 0x4C504D44 //LPMD string NAME + ".lpmd" else string NAME + ".dat" endif log NAME OFFSET SIZE goto TMP next i
goto 0x1000 savepos START get APak long get SKIP long get FILES long goto 0x10 0 SEEK_CUR get NAMETABLE_SIZE long get OFFSET1 long get OFFSET2 long math OFFSET1 + START math OFFSET2 + START xmath OFFSET3 "0x50 + NAMETABLE_SIZE + START" for i = 0 < FILES goto OFFSET3 getdstring SKIP 0x14 get NAME_OFF long getdstring SKIP 0x14 get SIZE long getdstring SKIP 0x10 savepos OFFSET3 goto OFFSET1 get NUM long get OFFSET long get SKIP long get SKIP long savepos OFFSET1 xmath NAME_OFF "NAME_OFF + 0x50 + START" goto NAME_OFF get NAME string math OFFSET + OFFSET2 log NAME OFFSET SIZE next i The resulting audio files come out labeled as .WEM files. The filenames don't get extracted properly due to the way the Wwise sound system handles the files, you'd need a proper index file to get the actual filenames from.

Warhammer_81 omg this worked flawlessly, I have access to all the sound effects, thank you! Do you know of any ways to automate conversion processes or do it in batches? There's thousands of audio files. Curious if there's anything that could batch convert with QuickBMS or automatically convert the audio by folder maybe?

There's thousands of audio files. Curious if there's anything that could batch convert with QuickBMS or automatically convert the audio by folder maybe? QuickBMS has a batch file function built in but you don't really need it for this. Run QuickBMS, select the input script, navigate to the folder where the .GSB files are and select them all (CTRL+A), next navigate to your desired output folder, done. QuickBMS will process the entire folder until everything is extracted. After all the .DSP files are extracted you end up with a bunch of file folders. Instead of working on one folder at a time use Windows to search for only the file extension "*.DSP", select all the files displayed/found and move them into a single folder. The last part is using Audacity to convert the .DSP files to something you can use. Audacity has a batch processing function but it's not simple to use. You can go here for a tutorial on how to create a macro for Audacity under the "Current Version" section. In the tutorial he uses the "Normalize" filter on batches of audio files.

Anybody tried fakeyou?, with the original clone trooper voice (non clone wars), found a video with cut lines from BF 2005 In my experience ElevenLabs is by far the best AI TTS generator, although they only recently started adding support for accents. Last I tried it in the spring it was still having a hard time with Temuera's voice, but I wouldn't be surprised if it works better now (or will in the near future).

...does anyone here know if there's some way to extract a particular impulse response from an audio file, if one also has the same sound effect without any reverb? Most of the "Distant" variations of the blasters and cannon sounds in both EA Battlefront games use the same reverb. It's very distinctive, and I'd love to be able to apply it myself to audio files from other games. Might there be some way to phase-align a given blaster shot sound with its Distant equivalent, and extract the IR from the difference between dry and wet inputs? Is there any software that could accomplish this? I believe this process is called deconvolution; though most of what I've been able to find online is for the purposes of extracting reverb from a recording in a given acoustic space IRL. Thank you, either way!

Couple of questions I had if anyone could help.
1) Are there any audio+SFX archives available for the Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith console games? I was really interested in finding some specific sounds from them if possible.
2) Checking the EA Battlefront game archives in the OP, I noticed some SFX for weapons/blasters introduced by later updates are not in. These include the E-11D (Death Trooper), the G125 (FO Jet Trooper) and the ST-W48 (Sith Trooper) though I'm likely missing others. If these could be updated for the OP download or provided separately I would be very grateful.

Regarding Rogue Squadron II/III, no one has successfully figured out the audio format for the voice lines. We have no way to rip those currently, but here are all the raw game audio files in .VDY format: www.mediafire.com/file/im4g75mfcp0sz8o/RS2_and_RS3_Voice_Files_.vdy.zip/fileStar Wars Squadrons audio on the other hand can be ripped.

And that's most likely an easier source to try and recreate his voice with AI than with interviews, where he has a Scottish accent. For Squadrons, is there a link you could point me to?

The Rogue Squadron .VDY format hasn't been reverse engineered so extracting the audio files from it will require someone to write a script or tool to extract then. There's no archive with all the audio from Squadrons since it would be several gigabytes in size and there's no way to batch dump all the audio files. They have to be extracted one at a time.
