seems incomplete. i just sampled one archive tho. it's missing the lot of the sounds in the locale_en-us_d9.rkv. i got an xtractor for the files tho. disclaimer and matter of trust using the tools. fsbext is from zenhax admin aluigi's collection. if you don't have a media player to play the wav files it outputs, the adpcm decoder will convert them to pcm. the code is from a now unknown source (i can't remember where i got it). it's precompiled by me (do you trust me on this one?) but the source code is included if you don't do so and wanna compile your own safe executable.

bumping this. you actually seen my post regarding the incompleteness? and... well... i done some more bat file stuff for the xtractor. if you throw all fsb files into one folder you can batch convert them now. the process is kinda slow, cause the tools spam in the console. but it works quite well.

Dennis You should download Rancor022 's SWBF SFX Pack (4.16GB Total Size) and look in the "Characters\Droids\IdenDroid\" folder for all the sound effects.

Hello, does anyone know how to extract all the Star Wars Squadrons sounds? I like to have all the ambient audio and such beyond just the weapon or vehicle sfx, I can't expect everyone to have all the audio available.
I'm still reading the threads to see if there's info about it.

Has there been any attempt to extract audio from the new Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga?

I extracted them a few days ago but haven't looked through them just yet. Mostly just WAV files, some other formats that I'll need to convert. Might upload them today *if* I have the time.

Also, I have some valuable information on the sounds from ”Star Wars: The Old Republic”
This forum should be helpful in sorting out the files for the game’s sounds.

So here are all of the sound effects / dialogue from Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga... but there's a catch. Most of the files are standard .wav files, however some of them are ".audio_data". About half of them can be imported into standard audio editing programs such as Audacity and converted, however the other half I can't figure out how to convert, and as far as I could tell there is no set of tools or scripts that can convert them *yet*. If and when I can figure out how to convert them all, I will do so and reupload them. Until then, here are the raw files: www.mediafire.com/file/u5slj8a4x0gnf1m/LSWTSS_SFX.rar/file

I do appreciate it, especially the stormtrooper blasters and armor movement, and even Boga’s cries. I do wish that we could have gotten Chewbacca and R2-D2’s sounds as well.
Anyway, there is a big reason why I’ve been so interested in the sounds from “Star Wars - The Force Unleashed II” for the DLC version:
These Wilhelm screams are top-notch, superb quality. I hope somebody can extract them.

Extracting them is easy, figuring out which files are the "Wilhelm Screams" is a monumental task! First, the game has over 20,000 individual audio files to sift through! Second, the method of extracting the audio results in file names like "4567918.wem" with no simple or easy way to identify what each audio file should be named, let alone which files contain the screams!

These Wilhelm screams are top-notch, superb quality. I hope somebody can extract them. EA Star Wars: Battlefront actually includes 3 of the 4 Wilhelm Scream recordings, and in true lossless quality, unlike TFU2. So I would definitely recommend downloading that archive. EDIT: To save time here are those files on their own: www.mediafire.com/file/6w5jcnw9kfn9ryp/SWBF_Wilhelm_Screams.rar/fileHowever for the first "ow!" one (which does not appear in SWBF) I've actually been looking for a good recording of that one for years, had no idea it was in TFU2!

(Largely copy+pasted from my VG Resource post) connorh315's DATManager extracts all of the audio from the game. Grab it on GitHub here: github.com/connorh315/DATManagerikskoks over on the Xentax forums wrote a script for converting the .audio_data files with vgmstream: codec = IMA
start_offset = 0x5B
channels = 1
interleave = 0x100
sample_rate = @0x0C
num_samples = data_size Copy this into Notepad, save as all files, and name it ".audio_data.txth". Place it in the vgmstream folder, and now you can drag and drop the files onto the vgmstream exe and it will instantly decode them into a separate wav file. Works with Foobar2000 with the vgmstream plugin installed, but you have to place the .txth file in the same directory as the .audio_data files you're converting. Then you can drag and drop into the Foobar window. Please make sure you have the most recent version of Foobar2000 and vgmstream!
Only a couple of the .audio_data files don't decode properly, such as VEH_BWING_ENGINE_LP.AUDIO_DATA. They have an odd loop address that throws off the vgmstream script. You can fix these by removing the 44-byte loop section in the header with a hex editor. The WPN_MAGNAGUARDSTAFF_SWIPE sounds are all in 32-bit float @44100hz rather than IMA. You can import these into Audacity easily. The METAL_CREAK_BIG_DISTANT files are all for some reason encoded in Ogg Vorbis, and can just be dropped into Audacity. Big thanks to my friends cu2, Tatrabbit and robynsun on Discord for helping me out, and of course to connorh315 and ikskoks for the extractor and script!

Idk if I did something wrong, but most of the voice over files are silent. Is that normal or did I mess up the conversion somehow?

Well my original dump is almost a year old now so it's possible the game audio format could have changed since then. It's impossible for me to know why you could be having issues without more information.

I'm still reading the threads to see if there's info about it. Actually yes, but it's a bit tedious and not exactly 100% accurate. Frosty Editor in the Frosty tool suite allows you to peer into the game's files and rip some stuff, but it's more suited towards modding than ripping. You can painstakingly extract just about all of the sound effects, but older versions of Frosty rip the larger .wavs with several channels a bit more accurately. Note: You have to rename the Squadrons exe to that of a supported game for it to work (i.e., starwarsbattlefrontii.exe). It'd be nice if they'd add full support, if they haven't by now. I've already ripped the vehicle sounds, but I got lazy and didn't feel like going for everything else. Anywho, here: frostytoolsuite.com/downloads.html

I used this guide to convert the .wem files to .ogg, and a large chunk of the files in the audio_shared VO folder are completely silent when played (but not all of them, a bunch of sounds that seem to be Jawa noises are still intact).

Well I just checked the most recent "wwise.audio_sharedVO.pck" from the game and followed the exact same process from my original post here and all the audio files extracted 100%. I recommend using QuickBMS with the Wwise .PCK Audio Extraction Script. Also there are some .BNK container files with additional .WEM audio files packed inside. Some .BNK extractors try to extract the audio files as .WAV but they are actually .WEM files. By renaming the extracted .wav files to .wem they should work just fine. I've found some of the .BNK containers have audio files that have been compressed/encoded to allow looping and some audio players can't play them correctly, thankfully they are duplicates of existing audio clips so it's not necessary to extract these.
