Hi all,
In between work, I've been casually working on a mod for XCom2, taking some of the armour/outfits and weapons from SWTOR (mainly Republic Trooper stuff) and putting them into the game. Weapons are fine, given their relative ease, however characters are proving trickier.
It's a bit painful to try and change the skeleton, including the weights from SWTOR to UE4, as the default pose is different to the Unreal default pose, so I have to repose the model and then skin it to the XCom skeleton with weights. Does anyone know an easier/automated way to transfer weights from one skeleton to another, or to take the SWTOR skeleton, rename the bones as needed, and have it change to the 'normal' Unreal pose?
I'm adding about 10 armour sets, each in individual pieces (Lord Poncho's Republic Armoury is a good idea of what I'm trying to do), so will have to export each component separately, but I need to get the SWTOR model into the default pose that Unreal can read. If anyone has a good way of doing it, I'd be grateful.
Thanks, Tim
