This one was a spectacular pain in the ass, and now that it's done, I'm honestly not sure it was worth the effort. The model contained lots of UV mapping errors that needed to be repaired manually, which was exhausting. Reconstructing the shaders, especially ones like these that use multiple composite layers, always requires a bit of detective work. It was helpful then that I could just fire up the game, launch training mode (no other players trying to kill me), and then fly around the ISD in my TIE fighter taking snapshots for comparison.

Looks real nice! Is the mesh improved from the one in BF2, or any other differences?

As far as I can tell, it's the exact same mesh from Battlefront II, only with ion turrets, missile launchers, medium turrets, and different tractor beams.

Hi guys! Could anybody be so kind to share the textures (S,R,M,N,AO,D etc) for the CR90, please? I'm complete disaster managing textures! Thank you in advance and happy new year to everybody!

Here it is: LinkI did what I could, but there's a lot of layered texture compositing required to recreate the shaders, so be patient. Good luck.

Thanks BadHorse as always! Can't wait to see if I can edit into a workable 3D printable model!

Did anyone end up releasing the additional skins? Would be great to play around with.

I still plan on doing them myself sometime, but given how many there are (including unique normal maps that will need to be re-baked) it will probably take some time. Plus I also still have all of the heads and outfits to do first.

most of things appeared with a messy mesh, unless that one that you mentioned that were fixed....

Are the squadrons stormtroopers different than BF2? I was told offhand they were Rogue 1 symmetrical, BF2s are ESB asymmetrical. Was looking in the archive files and there was no Squadrons trooper DL.

Ah I see what your issue is. There are usually around 5 LOD meshes for most models; you need to delete all of them except for LOD0.

They do indeed appear to be symmetrical like in Rogue One, here it is: www.mediafire.com/file/8y38rllxrqmeks8/Stormtrooper.rar/file^I also uploaded several other things in the "Characters" folder. Still working on the CR90...

So odd that the model they use for Squadrons there is the SWBF 2015 model instead of the SWBF2 one, also odd that the only edits i can see different is the helmet but it's still the same helmet.

I can't seem to figure out how the CR90 works; there is only one mesh yet several different slice maps. BadHorse were you ever able to figure out how to apply the textures?

Here's what I have: CR90_Package.rar• Turrets have had their battle damage extricated and assembled to the ship according to in-game blueprints • UV channels have been swapped where needed • Normal textures have been fixed (a few areas with inverted seam lines), and re-baked where needed • I created a few custom slice maps so that the racing stripes (green by default) can be recolored selectively (e.g. Tantive IV red as shown below)

Thanks for the CR90 model. I would have expected them use a higher definition mesh, but once again I'm disappointed by a Star Wars game. Please understand my criticism is not with you in any way, I'll just be happy when we don't have to rely on goddamn bump/normal maps for detail. I don't use the models for rendering but for 3D printing. If they would take the time to make the meshes manifold, it would decrease the poly count, but no, game developers are lazy.
