Rancor022 lastjawa I will make an Folder and upload all head i can get as soon as i can. But first i need your feeback about the versions you can use, rotations and scaling you need. To explain: I use the frosty exported fbx and load it in 3dsmax with importersettings "bones as dummy". Then delete the Lods and load the vur-smd via Wonderboys smd-import plugin (can be found on Wonderboy.org ). Now skip to the second animation tag will make the head nice. Then select all and tap on animation/delete selected animation. Now i have to apply textures on the mesh. For each part one. At this point i stuck. Adding the mat works but adding an texture doesnt work for me atm. I skip this part. Now i export the file as smd via Wonderboys smd exporter. This is important. Exporting direkt in fbx let the head turn back ugly. Why or how? I dont know. To apply the Textures to the existing mat's I load the head in milkshape and export it back to smd. Now i have the Option 1 - to export it direct from milkshape to an old fbx format (fbx 6. anything ). Thats the meshmilk.fbx 2 - convert the smd via noesis to fbx. Thats the meshout.fbx. 3 - convert the smd via blender to fbx. Thats the meshblender.fbx Load the smd back in 3Dsmax does Not work Cause of import error. All Options have different kind of scaling,rotating and 0-Point. For this i need your feedback.

Well I figured out how to import SMD files to C4D... now I just have to figure out how to bind the new skeleton to the mesh, if that's even possible in C4D.

I´m not sure about the count of Heros but i have 64 vur_smd to correct Heads. Here you can find Leia and Han Solo Files atm. More to come if it works. For now I'll just continue to fix the heads myself with the skeletons unbound; I'll make sure to keep the original head meshes in the archives though for anyone who wants to attempt to fix the heads themselves.

If I have time, I *might* begin uploading the first wave of redone heroes tonight. I'm getting the easier ones out of the way before I start on the more difficult ones. Heads should be done very soon as well; as I said I'll also be providing the raw heads for anyone who wants to attempt to fix them themselves.

Sorry a little lost on which working files your want mainly? I've got a pile of unsorted/double ups characters/ships etc..(mostly assets you guys most likely already have).. Would take awhile to upload all so if something specific, let me know & will do so!!! 😁

Rancor hasn't even responded to this so it's obvious he wants to stay well & clear from 'sharing' in this department & that's all good with me.. I'm just trying to help as tbh brutally I don't pay for any of the s-ware I use and don't intend to unless I was running a fully fledged business in 3D/animation.. it's a hobby and I ain't forking out hundreds/thousands of $$ unless I do or am wealthy enough to afford.. One thing I can contribute that most probably don't have is SW DI 3.0 characters with rigs/skinning intact..
Unfortunately The Force Awakens release used a different encryption to that of the original trilogy characters so original rigging is not attainable.. I could still provide TFA characters but it would require ninja ripping/rehauling the meshes to get a decent T-pose & then rigging the bodies minus facial bones.. I've already done this with Kylo Ren but it's a bit of work so one would really want me to provide other TFA characters 😄

You also shouldn't gamma correct the textures, rather change the dds format to srgb with a hexeditor and load it the native way. + I'm using the blender method.

Updated Han Solo and Leia fbx I should no realy do ten things at the same time. This week is horrible. BTW. His nose is correct. Look at Harrison Ford unsymetrical Face. The vur smd is from id-daemons last export. FolderRancor022 lastjawa Got some success asampling chars together. I hope the weights are intact. In smd and fbx. Han Solo BonetestI´m not sure about the eyetexture and eyecolor.

Select all meshes and the armature last. Then use the key short to parent to armature deform. Alternative is to add new armature modifiers to the meshes and assign the skeleton manually.
