thank you for your reply does the actual separatist outpost where the defoliator and aat tanks came from exist in cwa or any other game ? I know LEGO Star Wars III: The Cline Wars has some 3D assets like the trees, I’m not sure about the CIS base.

ideally it needs to be realistic and not look like lego more like tcw.

the base is not in the game. you may have to model it yourself. or use world building? i dunno what bf1 levels are made of. this is the rest of the maridun props. yes the trees are just 2d elements. not much you can do with those. again... you can try to model some similar looking trees, maybe. look up the episode for the design of the leaves and texture. same for the base. i have some time. i could look thru the files and maybe republic heroes (not much green in there tho) to find something usable in terms of textures. those are the level textures for maridun. i added a bit of leaves you could use for the trees.

Here's a video showing the Maridun level background elements from LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (notice the background scenery is not LEGO): Unfortunately the CIS base only features the front entrance wall with nothing modeled behind it.

Is there a model of Yoda's walking stick anywhere? There are quite a few actually, it all depends on how detailed you want it.

Those are old models originally made by James R. Bassett www.jrbassett.com/ and use vertex shading for the colors rather than texture maps. It irks me a bit that they don't credit him as the original creator/author of the models but the p3dm.ru website is full of uncredited/misappropriated content so I guess it's no surprise there.

BadHorse would you happen to know how to remove the "damaged" sections from certain BF2 meshes? I believe you were able to for some of the capital ships if I recall correctly. I can move the bones around, but removing them just resets the position of those areas. I've only attempted it in C4D so far, I was going to try playing around with Blender to see if I can figure it out in the meantime.

i think it's just a matter of selecting and deleting. or you tryna seperate them and keep the destructed meshes? you could hide them, then or move them into another collection for organizing.

It's super-easy to do in Blender. • With the object in question selected, toggle to Edit mode [Tab]. • In the Object Properties window, open the Object Data Properties tab (inverted green triangle) • In the Vertex Group subsection, you can select/de-select the various groups that are associated to the different bones in the armature. Once you identify and have the damage mesh selected, just delete faces. • Repeat for any other objects with damage meshes. Once that's done, you may want to remove the association between your remaining object meshes and the armature, assuming that it's no longer needed. • Toggle back to Object mode [Tab] • Select the object • In the Properties window, select the Modifiers tab • Click the dropdown next to the Armature modifiers name, and select Apply. • Now you should be able to safely delete your armature without negative consequences.

Ah thanks, that sounds simple enough! It seems to not be possible in C4D strangely, at least not from anything I've tried.

If done incorrectly, your vertex normals can get borked, which happened to me more than once in 3DS MAX. BTW, just yesterday I figured out how to rebake normal textures from one UV channel to another using Blender instead of xNormal. It's pretty easy but not particularly intuitive, or at least it wasn't to a Blender rookie like me. Of course if you're already using Blender, rebaking the normals is entirely unnecessary, but it can be done.
