I love how somebody uses my M45 model for 2004/2005 Battlefront to show what they mean Wait, you worked on Pandemic's Battlefront?! No, I'm a modder. Too young to have worked on those (I was 14 when SWBF came out) I've built (and still am building) large-scale mods for SWBF (see: Main Play Mod, SWBF Legacy, Battlefront Unofficial 1.25 Update). I usually release my stuff for other modders to use. That particular asset comes from my Rogue One weapons pack: www.gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=33427
Sad to say, AFAIK, there are no Pandemic devs on this board, though I do know of one who occasionally shares stuff that wasn't included in the mod tools, or cut assets.

Is anybody able to do one of these 2 things?
either:
Import these 3 2005 battlefront 2 maps into zero exitor then export as an .obj?, polis massa, Utapau and mygeeto
Or
If anybody uses a camera hack in BF II 2017 is it possible to take a top down screenshot of the kashyyyk map? (i assume the heightmap doesn't exist in the files?)

Alright so i tried exporting a 2005 battlefront 2 map... but it only exports a plane without any terrain. Anybody experienced in this?

Anyone know if there is an addon out there that can import .msh files into blender (the ones used in Battlefront II 2005)?

Hey guys, does anybody know a good program to rip from Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005)? I have 3d ripper DX, but it requires 3ds max 2010 since the plugin is very, very old and i cant find another import plugin for .3dr files for Blender or any other software.
Ninjaripper does not work at all, it rips without UV coordinates and it cant import the whole scene. Maybe someone has ideas.

Thanks this is a nice thing, but the maps of Battlefront II are in *.lvl format, they must be extracted first, which is impossible. At least i dont know how.

Best you can do AFAIK, is to split the textures out and convert them USE THIS, don't know if it will help, but if it spits out the greyscale height map..you can use it to re-create the map...there is also the Level extractor, which does the textures as well as a *.lub file which can only be used in a hex editor...no real level mesh.

I see, thanks. It seems the default maps are included in the BF2 Mod tools, so AT LEAST i can rip the default maps. For the custom maps i will have to find another solution. Probably 3d ripper dx + a very old 3ds max version that supports .3dr import if i can find one.
And i have to find a script/plugin that can export the unity scene to something useful...

There is a model of it in SWBFII (2005), other than that I'm unaware of any higher detail models of it available anywhere: That's one's good enough.

Do you have that shuttle model Warhammer? I'd get it myself but I don't own Battlefront 2015, at least not on PC, I only owned it on console. I'll upload it once I have it done. BTW it's from the original Battlefront II (2005) not the new Battlefront II (2017).

Still that one is good enough for me.

Here is the model from Star Wars Battlefront II (2005), it includes both the Imperial and Republic textures and has wing folding animations. Sadly it has no landing gear or boarding ramp: Theta-class T-2c shuttle SWBF2 Model Rip

Aha whats the story behind it?, was it shipped with the mod tools? or was it form the episode 2 game or did you have to ask him for it?

My understanding is psych0fred was one of the original Pandemic developers. The assets he released to the community were developed to be used in the game during its BETA phase but were cut from the final game. Some assets were left over in the SWBF Mod Tools while others were left over from The Clone Wars game. Some assets were never released publicly but made their way into other games like Star Wars Galaxies. giftheck may have some additional details.

If it's not on his website then he must have just given it to us at some point. This would have been 2006-2007. The two-man swampspeeder I have is dated 1/7/2006. I can dump the model to OBJ if needed, especially if someone can give the model a permanent home. This apparently is the 'canon' version. In the mod tools there's a one-man version of the vehicle.

Yep, that's the case. psych0fred is still active in the community as well. There's all sorts of goodies he's released over the years - maps that were never released in the mod tools, assets cut out from the game that were never used anywhere else etc. Thanks to him, another member of the community, Dark_Phantom, has been working to blow SWBF1 modding wide open for stuff that's never been done in it. Moving on, I recently ripped the Star Wars models from Disney Magic Kingdoms. Originally I was going to just rip the new event models (there's an ANH event going on) but I thought: what the heck. I'll rip the original TROS and Mandalorian event models too. drive.google.com/file/d/1ZQD7DyVxwWo_TiIkanV48A0amaupNVlC/view?usp=sharing
