I suggest installing Studio and ripping models from there: www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/download.pageWhen running Studio you can export models directly by selecting "File" and choosing "Export As" and selecting the model format. Currently it will export models to POV-Ray .pov, LDraw .ldr/.mpd, LEGO Digital Designer .lxfml, Collada .dae, or directly to your Sketchfab account where you can download it as an .fbx.

I already have Studio 2.0 installed, however only certain downloadable models can be imported/viewed in the program. The majority of the better models are only viewable in 3D mode on the website. Using the 'inspect' feature in the browser network console shows the .io model and texture files. but I can't get them to download properly. So, maybe ninja ripper might work instead.

Can you share a link to a particular model you want so we can experiment with it? I also noticed some models are listed as “For display only” so you can’t directly download them into Studio but they have the instructions available so you can build it in Studio yourself. This seems a bit counter productive to me, why not just make it available to download then? Anyway, I looked at the models displayed in the 3D viewer and they appear to be Gzip compressed LDraw files (.ldr), which may explain why you are having trouble. I can confirm NinjaRipper works with the BrikLink 3D Model Viewer in Firefox though.

I tried NinjaRipper with Opera and Firefox 85.0.1 x86/x64 and no luck with these so far.

I'd like to share an update to getting models from Bricklink that are not downloadable: wpbzbuzz sent me a private request to see if I could somehow get a non-downloadable LDraw model from Bricklink: www.bricklink.com/r3/studio/design.page?idModel=223337This thread was originally about ripping just the 3D model and textures using Ninja Ripper but I have since found a method of getting the .LDR models from Bricklink so they can be imported directly into LEGO Digital Designer (LDD), LDraw, or Stud.io. I'll be using the above Bricklink model for this example. If you know how to use your web browser's "Web Developer" mode you can inspect the files being streamed from the web page when viewing the 3D render of the Bricklink model. In Google Chrome activate "Web Developer" mode (Ctrl+Shift+I) and then load the 3D model viewer on Bricklink. I wasn't able to directly download the files from the URL but I can clearly view the "snake mountain.ldr" file along with all its contents in the "Response" tab. The file is gzip encoded but it is possible to capture the data from the browser and save it into a text file by Right-Clicking the "https://www.bricklink.com/_file/studio/modelView.file?k=ccc21b163282cb2961e2860ab24399427bc937e11244824222c536b3e74ab847bf0c99fb6aa6fd82e15f52082b964c05" file and selecting "Copy response". Paste the copied text data into an empty (blank) .TXT file and save it. Now Re-name the text file extension from .TXT to .LDR. This file can now be imported into Stud.io, LDD, or LDraw directly! I have not tested this on all .LDR models or tried importing them with all the LEGO modeling apps but my preliminary results show this works! All I can do at this point is share the file data I obtained using this method and let everyone test it out! Bricklink - Snake Mountain - Masters of the Universe LDraw file by Brickrandir

I'm still having some issues getting the file to work correctly in studio, but I think I can troubleshoot that later. Thanks so much for your help! Especially since I'm a newbie who asked about something completely unrelated to Star Wars

Wondering if there has been any movement on this? I have been able to grab the files, but they show up with no colors.
