Never made sense to me why they'd ride big lumbering lizards when speederbikes exist.
Actually there is a good reason to use the reptiles instead of machines. Machines don’t hold up very well in the desert: sand, grit and other dirty stuff can get into the more delicate components of the machine and cause it to break down. An animal, such as a dewback, would be much more reliable in the desert. It doesn’t require as much maintenance and draws far less attention from the locals when searching for top secret data. Even George Lucas said, in an interview for the Special Edition that is was “a real world reference,” so I think the dewbacks make sense.
AT-ST and Birds from DICE's Battlefront II, Scouts are DICE's aswell but Rogue Oneified by me with Textures by Ultinstinct. Does anyone here have a better AT-ST mesh that is properly rigged and has the interior by any chance? And are there JFO models on this site? like the AT-ST pilot. Anyways hope you enjoy the render. Its made in Cycles with a sample count of 512.
Exporting Unreal assets with UModel using the glTF format (pskx doesn't maintain vertex normals) including an embedded animation allows me to add localized motion blur.
I've been doing some 360° reference loops to show off some of the Battlefront character models. I only have a few done at the moment but plan on doing more. Unfortunately I'm not able to embed the videos from Google Drive for some reason, so I have some links instead.
Getting animation out of "Tales from the Galaxy's Edge" is not particularly straightforward, in fact it's a convoluted multi-step pain in the ass, but it is possible.
