Looks interesting. I'll reserve judgement until October. So far most of the ships look like the same models we've already been working with, albeit with a new paint job. Hopefully we'll get some better cockpits though.

Star Wars Squadrons Gameplay Reveal: The game uses the Frostbite engine. It looks like we might be getting a few new assets that will fit nicely with the Battlefront II (2017) assets. We can only hope that the new Frosty devs update it to be compatible with Squadrons. They haven't updated Frosty at all since Gman left. You most likely won't see new updates to frosty expect for UI changes and the game will probably need a new sdk profile to work unless they can hack together a SWBF2 sdk profile to work with this game, The people Gman entrusted to work on frosty don't know what they're doing.

where you see broken normals in the picture? i mean... i see a couple of spots where the texture looks procedurally fucked... but no broken normals, really.

This is an *official* image from Star Wars: Squadrons that EA recently posted... Notice the screwed up normals and missing top turret. That's hilarious. They should have read our FAQ about the use of 2 UV channels.

I did spot a few additional configuration variations in the Squadrons gameplay trailer. This CR90 had a few extra cannons. This CR90 didn't have any cannons. This ISD appears to have additional surface cannons or missile launchers

I picked apart the Star Wars Squadrons Official Gameplay Trailer to point out some "oddities" I found: 1. The Y-Wing in this shot is missing the Ion Cannon Turret: 2. Then in this shot the Y-Wing fires a green beam weapon at an ISD: 3. Can you spot what's wrong in this picture?: 4. The TIE Bomber switches which way it is mirrored throughout the trailer indicating the footage has been pieced together from multiple builds of the pre-released game:

I dunno if they're really oddities. Since there's customization in the game for weapons, it looks like the Y-Wing can have a beam cannon equipped. Would have rather it be red or something instead of green though.

Here's a look at all the ship component options:
And a look at all the cosmetic customization options:

Yeah the A-wing and the Y-wing are the same models as SWBF2 but the X-wing is a new model and so is all the TieFighters expect when it comes to the Tie Ball they are the same as SWBF2 the Wings are new.

Thank you very much for sharing this.
I have noticed that the Vertice and Face Count is just similar to the Lod 1 of the Battlefront Files. Comparsion X-Wing Helmets, TIE-Fighter Helmet and A-Wing Helmet with the Rebel Sandtrooper Helmet. Do you know if it is just the Demo or did they reduce the Filesize for Squadrons ?

Thanks a bunch for the assets. Any chance you might be able to look at the Imperial Support pilot helmet though? At least on my end when importing it, there's no actual data for the UVs. Just a planar view of the whole helmet.

I can run it through Noesis and the UVs are fine, though the LODs are merged. For some reason though, the other models work fine. I guess I'll try Blender and see what happens.

I'm looking at it in Max now with no UV issues at all.

Odd, wonder if it has something to do with the software version. I'm using Max 2020, but I wouldn't think that'd play a role given the other models work fine.

Yeah i'm using Max 2012 for all of this and it does the same but if you load it into Noesis it will give you the proper UVs back in the FBX for 3ds Max.
I also updated the Rebel folder to have the R1 Base (Default Rebel Pilot).
New Update to the files, i add pretty much every Rebel outfit and character in the Alpha. There was some i just didn't feel like adding since their faces were so messed up beyond (aliens) what SWBF2 has normally that without the face poser it would be impossible to even try and fix. The Nebulon B was also posted, it's really far more detailed then the SWBF2 model. I also put it's turrets in a separate download(forgot about that after uploading).
I'll try to work on the the rest of the Rebel Ships/Vehicles this week.

Now that's some serious mesh detail -- much better than anything in either Battlefront. Hopefully I got the hull panel tiling correct; there aren't many gameplay videos yet with good clean views of the capital ships to use for shader setup reference. I haven't added the turrets because they're not referenced in the prefab XML. Speaking of which, the existence of a Frosty-like XML is itself very interesting. Thanks corraashu !

BadHorse Yeah this came from a private version of Frosty that only works with this game that's why i was able to get the prefab xmls. As for an update i have uploaded the rest of the Ships (CR90,MC75,M80) and as for Starfighter i uploaded the A-wing aned X-wing. The rest of the rebel fighters will come tomorrow.

I noticed the GR-75 has no textures included with it. Were they left out on purpose or does it use textures from another source?
