All the .maps are for the OG Halo 2 while everything else you want is in .PAK files or in the unreal engine .pak file.

Not yet there was a tool to open them for HCEA (360 version) back when that came out but doesn't work on H2A.

Several people I've talked to have already started to rip H2A models via NinjaRipper.
My only concern about that is the sacrifice of the rig. I'll be honest. Rigging isn't my specialty.

I never use NinjaRipper personally, no rig as you mentioned plus the textures are usually screwed up. I haven't had any luck with any PAK extraction tools I have. Basically all I'm able to do right now is extract the sounds and convert the cutscene files.

He did share a few wit me privately in the past. Like his rig of ODST squad Alpha Nine.
He did say to me at one point that he was planning on using DAZ3D to make a version of Fire Team Osiris that actually has a facial rig... So basically exactly what I've been doing with the characters I've been presenting over on the Star Trek thread.

^I've been using DAZ to make my star wars and halo characters as well, actually pretty much most of my realistic characters are all made using DAZ and Facegen and some photoshop editing.

My Achilles heel when it comes to facegen is non-human characters. I do remember using it to make a face morph of Miranda Keyes and Sgt. Johnson but of course I guess that one is obsolete now because of H2A Miranda and Johnson.

Rancor022, flipdark95, corraashu, Okay I can confirm that MonkeyRebel117 and DangerWasp have ripped the H2A Models and are working on Rigging them, at least the ones that were in the levels included in the Flight, we don't have Tartarus and Regular Uniform Miranda yet. But they are holding off on releasing them until the full game releases (which I think may be within the week based on how quickly CEA released after it's flight), per the terms of the terms of service regarding content discretion during the flight.

For H2A we used NinjaRipper.
Adjutant works on the older games, like Reach.

Adjutant doesn't appear to work on MCC map files, at least for me. I've used it in the past with the older games but haven't really tried it with MCC until today. That's unfortunate.

Alright I'm placing my bet ladies and gentlemen. Something in me is saying H2A's full release tommorow.
The reason I think that is because of a tweet in repsonse to someone fawning about MLG Halo days, from XBOX GAME PASS with "keep your eyes open for tomorrow morning".
Also...
There will be some XBOX presentation later this week for the new XBOX Series X but.... it's only for 3rd party games so no news Halo Infinite. Given how starved the Halo community is for more info on Infinite, launching H2A this week would probably be a good PR move on 343's part to soften the blow of no Halo Infinite news.

Okay correction there was an announcement related to H2A today but it wasn't the release. Next week for sure. The announcement was finally a confirmed release date.
Got an email from Halo Waypoint saying H2A coming on May 12. So next week.
We've waited so many years for these models I think we can hold out for one more week.

Anyone know where to find some of the upgraded MCC Reach assets? Specifically spartan MP armors and textures. I've seen some stuff on SFM that says its MCC, but when I compare the quality to the original its the same.

None of the Reach assets have changed, they're still the same exact models and textures as the 360 build.

I concur. Really the only new models from this endeavor at this point are the ones from Halo 2 Anniversary.
Well at least until Halo Infinite comes along.

DangerWasp probably on his Twitter. MonkeyRebel said he'll privately sharing them with people directly, if they ask for them.

Both of them said they're rigging the models. Though with different means. MonkeyRebel is rigging the models with Facial bones while DangerWasp is taking the time to make shapekeys for the facial expressions.

The flight pretty much contained all of the character models except for two. Regular Uniform Miranda Keyes and Tartarus as they only appear ingame in the final mission.
