How did you manage to rip these models from SOTE? Can you teach me? And is it possible to rip level maps? I ripped the models from inside an emulator using a few different methods. You can rip level geometry but not the entire level all at once. Did you do it with the 1964 emulator using Lemmy's video plugin which lets you export VRML? Or was it through another method?

Here's a nice video tutorial if you need it: I have already tried this method. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with SOTE, even though it works with other N64 games. I have tried it with multiple versions of the SOTE rom too, with no luck. There is nothing displayed in-game with that graphic plugin, and the output.wrl file is empty. Are there any other methods? Or am I missing something with this method?

I mainly used the PC version which works with 3D Ripper DX to get the models. Nemu64 also works with Lemmy's plugin so you can try it instead. The problem always comes down to which specific emulator and plugin setup will work together best. I've used multiple setups with different emulators to get results and unfortunately I can't remember the specific setup I used at the time. This is also the reason why no one has ripped the models from Battle for Naboo, the emulators that can run it properly won't work with the necessary graphics plugins to allow geometry dumping/ripping.

It can't launch the GOG version of the game, and the original version of the game doesn't run on my PC even without 3DRipperDX. The most I have been able to achieve was run Project64 THROUGH 3DRipperDX and that way I can view the game in wireframe mode, still when I press the capture key it only rips the textures. I can only assume that if it worked for you then the difference must be due to some very specific details. Any ideas? Do you remember which version of 3DRipperDX and which release of the game you were using?

Try running SotE (GOG) with this DxWrapper: github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapperLook for the folder where you have SotE (GOG) installed on your drive. Then you have to re-name the ddraw.dll file inside the "Sdata" folder to something else and copy over the needed .dll and .ini files as described here: github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/wiki/DirectDraw-to-Direct3D9-ConversionOpen "dxwrapper.ini" in Notepad and under the "[Compatibility]" section change "Dd7to9 = 0", "D3d8to9 = 0", "DDrawCompat = 0" to "= 1". This effectively wraps/converts all the old Direct Draw functions to newer DirectX 9 functions.

The only thing that changes is that after I replace the ddraw.dll, I get an error message not only if I run the game through 3DRipperDX, but even if I just run it normally. The error message is always this: "Unable to continue Error" "Unable to find Display Settings".

The error message is always this: "Unable to continue Error" "Unable to find Display Settings". After beating my head against a wall trying to work out what I did originally to get the models I think I figured it out again! For this method I used: 1. Project64 v2.3.2.202 (the version I have currently) and " Star Wars - Shadows of the Empire (USA) (Rev B)" OR " Star Wars - Shadows of the Empire (USA) (BETA)" rom. The BETA Rom has special cheat functions which allow you to get around levels more easily by clipping through walls and such. The hardest part of all this is getting the emulation settings just right to allow the game to run while getting 3D Ripper DX to work properly at the same time. tcrf.net/Star_Wars:_Shadows_of_the_Empire_(Nintendo_64)2. Under PJ64's Options/Settings/Plugins menu I use: Video (graphics) plugin: "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5" Audio (sound) plugin: "Jabo's DirectSound 1.7.0.7" Input (controller) plugin: "N-Rage for PJ64: 2.5.2.202" RSP (Reality Signal Processor) plugin: RSP Plugin 1.7.3.202 and at the bottom have the "Graphics HLE" box checked. Once the rom is running go to the "Options/Configure Graphics Plugin..." menu. This is largely system dependent so you may need to make adjustments different from my own. On the "Advanced" tab I checked the box "Force legacy pixel pipeline" but left everything else unchecked. If you want to use the "Texture Dumping" options you can. On the "Rom Settings" tab everything is set to default and I only checked the box for "Use Direct3D transform". While running the game however it suffers from some heavy graphical bugs and flickering which make it very hard to play so once I'm in a level I go back to the "Rom Settings" tab and change the "Direct3D Clear Mode" to "Only per frame" and the flickering goes away. Now if everything works you should save your settings and exit the emulator. 3. I run 3D Ripper DX v1.8.2 in "Global system monitoring mode" with my capture key set to "F12" and then start the emulator. I don't think this mode works on newer OS versions beyond DirectX 9 so you may have to hook 3D Ripper DX to the "Project64.exe" directly and click the "Launch" button. In the emulator I make sure to unassign the F12 key by going to the Options/Settings menu and looking at all the "Keyboard Shortcuts". This way I can use the F12 key without accidentally activating some unwanted emulator function! 4. Now you should be able to get to a particular scene you want to capture in the game and dump the geometry and textures. This method doesn't work with all N64 games but it's the only one that I could get to work for SotE. Results may vary from scene to scene in the game, for example the background 3D models seen during the menu selection screens tend to get distorted but the 3D elements of cutscenes and level geometry are fine. Backface culling is a problem so capturing an entirely complete scene is next to impossible. Also all the dumped geometry retains its currently rigged and animated position as opposed to a static unrigged pose. This is the only setup I've managed to get working with SotE to capture 3D geometry data. 5. NinjaRipper can also capture the 3D transformation data using "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5" graphics plugin but It seems to have a much harder time at capturing everything as seen on the screen. This is probably because the emulator plugin is using DirectX 8 instead of 9.

You are the best. After some experimenting I have come to the conclusion that it all depends on the "Use Direct3D transform" checkbox. As long as that one is checked, you can use different ROM versions of the game, or have the rest of the options checked or unchecked and it still works.

Does anyone know where I could find a First Order Tie Pilot or First Order Normal pilot by any chance? I've been looking for one to modify a bit but didn't have any luck. Thank you!

Not sure if anyone will find this useful, but I've done complete rips of most of the Republic Commando multiplayer maps. They are in FBX format.

^ There are several fanmade models that have been made, but more intended for Empire at War modes, so they're fairly low-poly and low-detail. There might be a few official ones floating around from the Clone Wars Republic Heroes game.

This seems like it will have some good models to rip- those helmets and the ship models in the fan cave look nice.

Does anyone have this particular gunship? That's a mod. You can't port those. I already tried with a dark trooper phase 0 mod for battlefront 2.

Does anyone have this particular gunship? i think i saw that particular paintjob at some point "somewhere"... i can't remember rn, tho. i'll have to dig thru some files and/or searches. you may have to consider painting this yourself tho. i can tell you that. if you get a clean reference shot it shouldn't be hard. lol... j/k... it'd be some work, yes. just don't be lazy, if you want it.

Hey there!
Looking for a decent resurgent class model, doesn't have to be the crazy hi-poly model from BFII, but something half way I'm looking to 3D print it.
