A bit of tinkering in Star Wars Starfighter unearthed a N1 Starfighter skin I had never seen before: "nsf_adv". Thought I'd share it, along with the other textures. Would've loved to know the story behind the advanced version. Two of the Xbox textures had some subtle differences so I added them in too. The N1 is my absolute favorite non-Imperial ship, I just love these paintjobs. www.dropbox.com/s/ooqseorqbp6morj/Star%20Wars%20Starfighter-N1.zip?dl=0

I'm not sure if all the skins get used in the game though because I've found a lot of unused content myself, look at the "protector2" model to see what I mean!

Interestingly the PC version of the game includes the multiplayer content even though the multiplayer functionality was removed. Here is what the model for the "Protector 2" looks like, a ship that got cut from the final game. It has nothing to do with the "Protector 1" so I'm not sure why it's called "Protector 2". Unfortunately the model I have is missing some bits and has no UV coordinates mapped to the model but it does have textures.

Having tried the BMS script with the PS2, Xbox, PC, and Steam versions of the game with no success (on this PMDL file), I'm very interested in how you were able to get into it.

Sadly none of the extraction scripts work on this particular file. The only way I could view it was to use 3D Object Converter which can read the .pmdl file directly but not 100% which is why the UV data and other mesh parts were not extracted. There are a few other .pmdl files that won't open properly with the current tools either so not much can be done with them without a proper script update. This also applies to the Jedi Starfighter game as well.

Looks like the file structure only contains the "body" of the ship and a couple of texture pieces files. Updated the download link with all the data, including name fixes on some of the files. I don't have the paid version of Ultimate Unwrap3D to convert it so assistance on converting would be greatly appreciated. www.dropbox.com/s/eb7dgl26s696qye/protector2.zip?dl=0

I managed to get into the CTT file but at 57 different MSH files, it may take a bit. This is the main body though:

I've been spending some time assembling the full battlefront 2017 venator in unreal engine (including the interior), and made this crappy video to show some of the progress. If anyone wants to try it themselves it's pretty easy. I've just had the game open on one monitor and the editor open in another. The assets are all exponents of 2 (32, 64, 128, 256, 384, 768, 1024, 1152 are the most common), so as long as you keep that in mind, placement is relatively simple. I used the transforms in the prefab asset for the exterior, but all of the interior is through this method of eyeballing + math. Let me know what you think!

This is amazing. This must have taken you ages. Can you post a download link? Eh only about a week or so and I miiiiight once I'm done but I'm not sure yet. I'm starting to try to texture/light it all and that's becoming a bit of an obstacle. I'd also like to add custom additions onto it too like the bridge, turret controls, and a barracks. Also keep in mind, the interior doesn't fit perfectly inside of the exterior mesh. The hangar and cargo room fit perfectly, but everything after that (like the reactor room) can slightly be seen from the back of the ship. In the video I made, you can see me hiding/unhiding the exterior mesh at points. This isn't an issue for my project because I plan on using some type of camerawork and/or client-server replication tricks to work around that.

nice edit. am i too harsh calling out certain things @rancor022? w/e you gotta sort it like that. where you put those extension folders doesn't matter. just change those pathes in the script for it to work. again... i only did this to have all the folders load quick in noesis (for testing and in general) instead of waiting for the whole (all of it at once - all dds and dme and adr being parsing is really slow) folder to load. i.imgur.com/LJR3Gdu.jpgthe textures still won't load nor export with the model tho. i tried to fix that today but it's gone nowhere, unfortunately. dude! i could understand you! now i have access to the files!! thank so much!

So in the old version of the thread on Facepunch there was a link to a bunch of files from some Clone Wars MMO game thing, which had a ton of models in the Clone Wars style. Does anyone have those files, or at a minimum the specific Death Watch carbine files?

Completely understandable that you can’t give me any advice on what to do next, I thought there might have been a general error that can occur and cause there to be no ripped files and only a log. There isn’t any error in the log when I look so I’m just confused as to what could be preventing the rip. If it’s possible that you can rip the “stealth trooper” model and texture, even though the model may be distorted can I ask if it’s possible for you to post them? The pose of the model isn’t a big issue any pose would be great! Completely understand if that’s too much to ask of you! I’m still going to keep trying different methods to rip the character models from the PSP port because as you said, there’s around 50 characters that aren’t present in the pc version and I’d like to be able to get all those files eventually. Once again thanks for the help! Have you tried using the JPCSP emulator? Once you set it up and are running a game it can dump the 3D scene currently displayed to an .obj file. From the "File" menu select "Export 3D Scene". Once you're done ripping all the scenes you want look in the main JPCSP directory and open the "Export" folder. Inside there will be folders containing all the scenes you ripped. Try this and let me know if it works for you. I’ve tried to use jpcsp, however every time I go to run the program it says “unable to access jarfile bin/jpcsp.jar press any key to continue” and then close when I press a key. I thought it would have been a better method for getting the models but I still can’t seem to get the program up and running unfortunately

I thought it would have been a better method for getting the models but I still can’t seem to get the program up and running unfortunately When extracting the JPCSP archive make sure the folder tree stays as-is and all folders are extracted. To start JPCSP run "start-windows-amd64.bat". If that doesn't work you can try Right clicking the "jpcsp.jar" file located inside the "Bin" folder and select "Properties". Click the "unblock" tab in bottom right corner. The file might be blocked by Windows. You also need to make sure you have the latest version of Java installed on your system: javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=243737_61ae65e088624f5aaa0b1d2d801acb16Here's an online article with a few tips that may help to get Java running on your system: www.minitool.com/news/unable-to-access-jarfile.html
