In Blender it's just the roughness texture that needs inverting right ? It depends on what maps you have and what will work best...since the render engine in Blender is a far different animal than in Game! I remember that Rancor022 has said that Dice uses an inverted specular map for roughness. Of course it will depend on what is included...check the Blender Tutorials...that is where this question really belongs.

Just wanted to toss this in here..ran across this just a while ago...So if anybody needs some of these things here is a Free Star Wars Model Pac...it's 4 years old so more than likely has fallen by the wayside..But Corridor Chunks perked my interest... www.videocopilot.net/blog/2016/05/free-star-wars-model-pack/

Yeah there's some good stuff in that pack. I used a few corridor pieces from it when it first came out.

I assume nobody has an older build of BF2 who can use cinematic tools to take topdown images of the maps?

I assume nobody has an older build of BF2 who can use cinematic tools to take topdown images of the maps? I believe you need to be playing the game in order for the cinematic tool to work, and Origin automatically updates the game before you can play it.

Plea for help for recovering lost Star Wars canon lore! Hello, You may or may not be familiar with the now defunct mobile game Star Wars: Uprising. The gameplay itself wasn't anything too special but the game did contain a lot of new canon Star Wars lore. With the mobile game no longer available, a lot of that lore is now at risk of being lost forever. A few years ago I worked on a document to save/record the game's lore and story and I made significant progress but there are still some things that I cannot find. Notably the text for crew missions and crew members. There were a lot of great lore nuggets in there. I'm not sure if there is anyway to recover any of this. Please excuse my technical ignorance, but I know it is still possible to download the apk files for the Android version of the game online. Is it possible some of this info could be extracted from there? Or even some of the 3D models? This is a longshot but I would appreciate any help I could get to make progress or even complete the project to save this canon lore. Here is the current state of the project: SW Uprising Guide (I'm missing non-unique crew member pics and bios): drive.google.com/open?id=0B7sQbvXiFAa8bWJrZXNMU3JJZWMSW Uprising Crew Missions (highlighted portions are incomplete/missing): drive.google.com/file/d/1zbeVytAMEtZZ0vlMnCdJtavS4zk9Vg3k/viewThank you!!

Luckily I backed up all of it before the game shut down. Here is my repository of Star Wars Uprising assets.

You'll have to use a Unity Asset extraction tool to get at the contents of the files though. I'm not sure what files in particular you should be looking for but I've already extracted all the audio and model files from the cache. Maybe what you need is in the .apk data.

Well I had a look at the APK data and it appears it doesn't contain the assets for all the characters, the OBB data however does. I've found a bunch of character portraits that may be what you're looking for. I'm trying to figure out the mission data at the moment because it's not so straight forward.

I seem to be in need of a HQ civilian Gozanti 3D model to use as a base for a custom ship for a project, and my FB modeling group said I might find help here. I may be willing to commission the final work up in time, But still need something decent to work out how I want to lay out my modifications first..
Already tried a google search and some of the common 3D model sites, But almost everyone good and willing to share is only doing the Imp carrier or C-Roc types not the basic model. So far the only one I can find at all is a super low detail STL deal.

Even if I can't use it for a "hero" ship itself, his stuff would make great scene filler

There is a higher detail version of the Imperial Gozanti Assault Carrrier. It would take some effort to modify it to look like the civilian version but it's the most accurate and detailed version of the ship I've found.

Would anyone be able to get ahold of all the dark jedi models from Dark Forces 2? www.moddb.com/mods/jedi-knight-enhancedYou will then need ConMan to extract the contents of the .GOB files. Once the files are extracted you'll need a tool to import/convert the .3DO models. Here is a free .3DO model converter program I found that works: 3DO Convertor by Frank Krueger. I personally use Ultimate Unwrap 3D but I know Milkshape3D and 3D Object Converter also have .3DO import functions as well. The Last part is converting all the textures. JKPaint can convert the .MAT files to .BMP format. I've used a combination of Mat16 and MatMaster in the past because not all the textures would convert properly in JKPaint. There is also a plugin for Photoshop to import JK/MotS .MAT files but I couldn't get it to work for me. On a side note there is a WIP project to import the JK/MotS levels, models, and textures via a Blender script, it looks pretty cool but unfortunately is not released yet. There's also a project called OpenSith to port the assets to the Unity game engine.

It worked ok though still need to figure out fixing textures on the imported models. But wouldn't you know the STL model that has been floating around is just a converted Warb_Null Gozanti with no textures being passed off as their own ; ... so I'm still stuck where I started

That's disappointing do you think it's a lost cause? Whatever you can find and share would be great. I'll work that into my project. Edit: Also I see you have the Allanar N3 light freighter model. Would it be possible for you to post a pic of it from multiple angles like you did for the Z-95 Headhunter a couple posts above? Edit 2: There used to be a website called swuprisingguide.com that had a lot of info. It was taken down before I got all of the info off of it. It had all the crew member portraits and bios. Is there anyway to retrieve this sort of stuff from a website that is no longer active?

It’s hit or miss as to how much of a page’s content is archived though: web.archive.org/web/2018*/http://swuprisingguide.com/

I´m always searching for Ships from the Movies and the Civil Gozanti is in the Background of Episode 1. It shouldn´t be to heavy to create this based on the Battlefront 2 Gozanti. Give me a Week and i´ll see what is possible.
