Someone posted this comparison image on Reddit I thought was pretty cool: i.redd.it/dji8rdoafk941.jpgThe image on the left is the actual helmet prop that DICE scanned.

They'll be there when they're ready.
Kind of focused on the models from the Halo 2 remaster at the moment though.

pretty pissed i removed the grid of 3rds. now... i can't rotate the tiles anymore. 6er tile base, but i gotta break up the repetition somehow. so... i'lll have to redo it... the xth time. X) i.imgur.com/PQtsPk8.jpgwelp... 2-3 hours later... it's almost done again. from scratch. bunch of curves to fix, ending platform, spawning platforms and it's ready for unreal. as trailer accurate as possible. i.imgur.com/8Z7rQ6D.jpg

From what I've been able to piece together about the new design. The 2003 version of the Galactica was originally supposed to look like the '78 Galactica and at one point it did (in external source material) but the ship was so badly damaged during the first Cylon war that after the war was over the only feasible treatment for the damage was a complete refit. However that refit was never fully completed hence why "New-BSG" has a bunch of under-structure and ribbing completely exposed.
