Hi Folks.. Long time no post!.. Thought I'd check in and see how everyone is going?... Anyhow.. Thought I might download JFO once I transfer all me movies to my new NAS server.. so.. Can someone please bring me up to speed with ripping this game as I've been out of the loop for quite awhile?.. Can most assets be ripped? Yes! Read up on the progress starting on the first page of this thread...

Hello, I am curious if somebody could extract voice files for the purge troopers and stormtroopers?

Everything can be ripped now without issue.

I don't know if anyone read my post/request from a few days, I hope you don't mind rephrase my request. Does anyone have access to the all voice lines for the stormtroopers/Imperial Soldiers and all Purge trooper voice lines, so they can be ripped and extracted? Looking back at this thread, I assume what I ask can be done. Just a bit uncertain, since no one that I have heard that has extracted voice lines from Jedi Fallen Order.

The sound effects in particular can be extracted, unfortunately however none of them have names. So basically you'd just be getting a dump of tens of thousands of unnamed audio files.

That is unfortunate. I don't know know much about coding, but wouldn't be the voice lines for purge trooper and stormtroopers be coded to the AI. I mean the game must have away that detects which audio files are being used for the correct enemy. I just hope there is way that we can get pass this issue.

I mean the game must have away that detects which audio files are being used for the correct enemy. I just hope there is way that we can get pass this issue. It's not just a simple matter of extracting the audio files. The game uses the Wwise audio system so when you extract the audio files you don't get the full filenames just hashed numbers like "338197219". The Wwise audio system references these index numbers to play the audio in the game. So while it is relatively simple to extract the audio you end up with hundreds or even thousands of files with no defined filenames which makes finding the exact files you want a chore.

So the only option if want to have the purge trooper voice and stormtrooper lines extracted is to sift through potentially hundreds if not thousands of audio clips to get what want? I see why nobody has done this, but it must be done eventually. Maybe if someone was able to extract the voice, they could rename them into a more clear description (Like StormtrooperFire) for the future. I am not sure if anybody would except this task. Still, I wanted this process to be relatively painless, but it seems I ran into a dead end.

They just started on it sometime last week.

I literally just now saw that someone posted a txt file on a music website I go to that connects the music file names to their hash numbers. So it IS possible to find the names of the files, I just don't know how. I'm messaging the person now to see how they were able to figure it out, or it they got it from someone else.

Okay that is good news, I though we only had one option, which would be the long and painful option. Definitely update me on that new method when you get the chance.

SoundbanksInfo.xml contains all the file names but manually searching through thousands of entries is ridiculous! There's a QuickBMS script that is supposed to do it automatically BUT the .txt text file has to be formatted properly, when I tried to use it with SoundbanksInfo.xml the script failed. We need an automated script to search for the file number and then re-name the files automatically. www.audiokinetic.com/library/edge/?source=Help&id=project_settings_soundbanks_tabzenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=4140https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/3bf1gk/game_rip_soundtrack_guide_how_to_rip_the_music/

Just out of curiosity, is there any news on the automated script to manage file numbers and rename them? Is there anyone working on the script?

According to the person I mentioned that have some of the filenames, he got the list from someone on YouTube (no idea who, he didn't say) but they didn't say how they figured it out, just provided a list of the names of about 200 music files and that's it. So it is possible to match the numbers to their corresponding names, but it's just a matter of figuring out how.

I really wish I had the game files because I don't think it's really all that complicated. I know the game uses the Wwise Audio system so extracting the files is possible. The key is getting to the sound bank resource list files, typically .xml or .txt files. They may even be compressed inside some other files but I know the game has them somewhere. If they can be extracted then re-naming the files via a script should be possible. I know this has been done for other games using Wwise audio.

I would like the source or what site corraashu found that Goggle spreadsheet from the JFO Modding Community. I am curious if there is a second page, given the one linked in this thread is titled "JFO Audio Files: Sheet1".

Does anybody have the model for Taron Malicos' lightsabers? I've downloaded the folder included of the archive, but the saber model in the "Lightsaber_Custom" folder didn't look like the same model as his actual sabers in-game.
